Holiday Inn Express Swansea - East, An Ihg Hotel

For a very last minute trip to Swansea, I was really pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was a great size for a family of 3 and was clean. Would have been nice to have a little fridge but of course you get what you pay for and for the price we paid to also include breakfast, was great. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall a nice experience for our short one night stay. My only suggestion would be........bigger mugs at breakfast.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed in plenty of space in the room. Pleasant staff. Breakfast wasn't great though in my opinion. Sausages were mystery bags with taste. And the choice was minimal. The bacon was lovely, scrambled egg was pretty good and the baked beans were " baked beans!" Not much of a selection in the cold area either BUT it served a purpose. The staff were quick to clean down tables and help if required. The coffee machine was pumping out nice coffee and you could have tea if preferred. The orange juice was watered down to its maximum so just coloured water really with bits in. The Apple Juice was good though. All in all, certainly worth a stay. There is a harvester opposite, 30 seconds walk if you want an evening meal. The hotel bar is open until late if you don't want to venture out although again, but a lot of choice. Plenty of parking including disabled spaces close to the main entrance. 1 minute from junction 43 M4. And fairly close to the sea and gorgeous scenery. We stayed for two nights and will stay again. There is a lift as well to take you to your floor.

Ten out of ten for the meet and greet reception, very welcoming and helpful. The room size was as expected, clean comfortable and quiet. We ate in their restaurant as I wanted to watch the rugby, basic menue, a few choices. We opted for the chicken curry, really tasty and spot on portion size. Would definitely come here again, but next time I would book direct as we could have saved ourselves a few quid.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There is even a blue light in the bathroom to allow essentials to be carried out at night without your roommate being woken by the bright light. Breakfast was plentiful but some of the caussant ran out quickly, however there was plenty of English breakfast left. Please note this is close to a motorway so if your room has windows that open (ours on the first floor did not but our friends window on the first floor did) then it can be a bit noisy. There is a Harvester next door for evening food.
